About SJ Sanchez, M.P.A.

SJ Sanchez, M.P.A., has worked in social services for over twenty years, in areas including health, mental health and education. She has worked as a stockbroker specializing in socially responsible investing and was recently integral to the formation of the largest family foundation in New Mexico, where she helped plot the course of future grantmaking for 200 to 300 nonprofit organizations. A native New Mexican and the eldest of seven children, SJ followed her undergraduate work in psychology with a master’s degree in public administration, which she completed as a single mother of three children. She has lived and traveled throughout the world, and has been honored many times for her dedication to issues in the communities in which she has lived. Her recognitions include being selected for the National Hispana Leadership Institute in 1990.
